Centralized Equipment Specialist




Location: This position is onsite. The selected candidate must reside within 50 miles or one hour commute from our GA-SANDY SPRINGS, 1300 ALTMORE AVE, STE 100A Pulse Point Location.



Schedule: This a part-time position. This position will work in the first shift. Monday thru Friday. Additional hours or days may be required based on operational needs.


The Centralized Equipment Specialist is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and coordination of durable medical equipment and external infusion pumps equipment.



How you will make an impact:



Primary duties include, but are not limited to:




  • Performs regular review of equipment inventory and usage to assess purchase needs. Distributes appropriate equipment to local sites.

  • Identifies patients eligible for pickup and assists with coordination of pump pickups.

  • Processes bills for unreturned equipment.

  • Maintains expert level understanding of device support, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures related to durable medical equipment and external infusion pumps utilized by the pharmacy.

  • Maintains all required logs. Coordinates or performs any necessary training related to equipment and/or accessories.

  • Monitors routine maintenance (i.e. ACT schedules or batter replacements) and coordinates pump swaps as appropriate.

  • Performs pump cleaning, testing, and calibration as necessary.

  • Understands and adheres to all external accreditation review standards, applicable state, local, and Federal laws and/or regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality through abiding by HIPAA laws/regulations.




Minimum Requirement:



  • Requires a high school diploma/GED.

  • Requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.




Preferred Skills:



  • 2 or more years of home or specialty fusion experience is strongly preferred.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills is strongly preferred.

  • Home or specialty infusion experience preferred.

  • Bilingual is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint are preferred.
