Assist with the development of short-term energy market strategies to minimize Company's risk and maximize asset optimization within established risk, contractual, regulatory and reliability standards.
Work closely with the Energy Markets team to provide modeling and analytics support.
Leverage data analytics, economic analysis, and statistical modeling to enhance market strategies and to ensure strategies are being implemented, evaluated for continuous improvement, and that ACE is meeting its contractual obligations with its customers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree required
Degree in economics, mathematics, finance, statistics, business administration, data analytics, management information systems, or a related field preferred.
Candidates completing their degree by December 31, 2024 will be considered.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
No experience required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employee's position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office. This position will report to Duluth, MN
Must be available to work occasional weekends and be on-call to implement short-term purchase/sales strategies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain internal and external working relationships.
