Technician on a HVAC systems start-up, working independently or on a team, and providing service and documentation of start-up and warranty activities. Provides the collection of data, assembly of test equipment, and application of test equipment to obtain required mechanical equipment and system operation per manufacturer’s requirements and recommendations. Support the construction group in resolving performance issues as related to the start-up and warranted operation of installed equipment.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
3-5 years’ experience preferred
HVAC Electrical Troubleshooting or equivalent
HVAC certification or equivalent
Universal EPA certification
Skills and Abilities:
Certification – Possesses EPA certification
Electrical – Working knowledge of Ohm’s Law and electrical circuits
Refrigerant – Working Knowledge of refrigeration cycle
Equipment – Ability to perform start-up of equipment 5 tons and under unsupervised
Software – Working knowledge of Trane, Honeywell and Siemens software
Troubleshooting – Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits
Schematics – Ability to read understand schematic drawings
