Essential Functions
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis on companies of diverse industries and sizes
Work with seasoned commercial bankers to conduct comprehensive financial analysis for commercial loan requests
Research key underwriting criteria including loan structure, cash flow, collateral, competition, and industry considerations
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Basic knowledge of banking/accounting/finance field
Basic analytical skills using financial and accounting principles
Ability to form strong relationships with people
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a business related field, with a preference for majors in Finance or Accounting (9 hours Finance/6 hours Accounting).
1+ years of banking and/or financial services experience preferred
