We are seeking a dedicated and analytical ZTD Cloud FinOps Intern to join our ZTD (Zoetis Tech & Digital) team for the summer of 2025.
This position provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cloud cost optimization, financial operations, and reporting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in ZTD, finance, and engineering to gain experience with Cloud technologies (Azure and AWS in particular), collect and analyze cloud usage patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute to the development of cost governance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and Analyze cloud consumption data across platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to identify cost trends and saving opportunities.
Study existing dashboards to understand cloud spend, usage, and savings opportunities using tools like Power BI, work on improving or building new dashboards.
Optimization Projects:
Collaborate with engineers and application architects to recommend resource optimization strategies, such as rightsizing, scheduling, or other innovative solutions.
Assist in building, implementing and supporting cost-saving initiatives.
Support Cloud FinOps Practices:
Learn and support the implementation of FinOps principles, including transparency, accountability, and cost optimization.
Support the team in developing policies and best practices for cloud financial management.
Data-Driven Recommendations:
Conduct research on industry benchmarks for cloud costs, analyze ZTD cloud costs against benchmarks, and showcase analysis and recommend opportunities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and technical implementation.
Prepare presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Learn and assist in Cloud related technical tasks, including writing scripts, automation, and testing.
Qualifications
Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Familiarity with cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or similar tools is a bonus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attributes:
Eager to learn and take initiative, with interest in cloud technology and Finance.
Detail-oriented, diligent, and with strong organizational skills.

The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position:
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $16.00 per hour
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $20.00 per hour
If the selected candidate is a student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $32.50 per hour
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $36.00 per hour
The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Illinois (Chicago area), Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington (Seattle area):
