Purpose or General Objective: Under the direction of the VITA Community Coordinator, the VITA Client Appointment Scheduler will be responsible for responding to all calls or voice mails left in attempt to schedule tax appointments. Calls should be returned in a timely fashion and every effort should be made to respond to and fulfill all requests for appointments. This is a temporary, part-time position with flexible hours and determined by the VITA Community Coordinator. This position will end around April 1st of each tax year, depending on need. The position is a temporary position which could last up to 11 weeks and as a part time temporary position, depending upon hours work will typically not receive benefits (paid time off, holiday pay, etc.)
Essential Duties:
Answering phones, returning messages to schedule appointments. Entering appointments into scheduling program. Ensuring appointment reminders are mailed promptly. Greet clients, hand out and assist with completion of intake forms on income tax preparation days. Adhere to all GICMH safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. Represent Goodwill Industries within the business community in a professional and dignified manner. At all times respect the participants rights to confidentiality and privacy of personal and rehabilitation information which you may have access. Treat all GICMH employees, volunteers, clients and participants with respect. Other duties may be assigned by the VITA Community Coordinator or the VP of Workforce Development.
