Hardware Technician at Tanager Inc. in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Job Description:

Tanager, Inc., is an information technology company that provides quality products and services to our customers. We have an immediate need for a Hardware Technician. This position is located at our Annapolis Junction, Maryland HQ site. This position involves providing hardware technical support for one of our fortune 500 customers.



Work Schedule: Monday through Friday

Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ET), must also be available to work occasional evening hours.

Wage Range: $20.00/hr to $22.00/hr

Job Description:


• Assemble, configure, test, and ship servers, tablets, and network equipment to meet customer deadlines
• Provide detailed tracking/recording of all serial numbers, configuration, and equipment
• Diagnose errors and technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Track inventory on a daily and weekly basis
• Produce timely and detailed service reports
• Document processes



Requirements:


• Prefer one year (1) or more years proven experience as a hardware technician or in a similar role
• Ability to follow SOP's and a detailed checklist
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate both orally and in written form
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
• Desire customer service and IT support experience (i.e. help desk functions)
• Microsoft Office experience is preferred
• Technical degree or certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Must have the ability to lift up to 65 pounds
