The Maintenance Operations Manager provides leadership and direction to plant maintenance support teams, to include wastewater management, facility repairs and part and consumable inventory management. Ensures project/department goals and objectives are met. Manages department budget and supports cost-containment activities. Manages responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, OSHA regulations and applicable Company guidelines.
Collaborate with plant leadership team to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall effectiveness utilizing Continuous Improvement techniques and methods.
Manages the technical support needs for the facility.
Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance (SAP).
Effectively supervises the plant maintenance coordinators and clerks as it relates to planning maintenance activities; purchasing of parts and part inventory to ensure budgets are adhered to and the plant is adequately stocked with the appropriate levels of parts, supplies and maintenance consumables.
Implements corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators as a means to increase overall operational effectiveness.
Plans, organizes, assigns, directs, and reviews the work performed in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and treatment discharge operations.
Oversees operation of facilities to meet all applicable regulatory requirements and in accordance with Federal, State and local ordinance criteria and permit requirements.
Develops and implements techniques and methods to increase operation efficiency to reduce BOD, TSS and other constituents.
Preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, both internal and external.
Manages others who are engaged in operating, planning, repairing and maintaining the wastewater treatment system.
Remains current with the latest and emerging industry regulations.
Shares and implements "best practices" and partners with others to ensure plant operations are performing at acceptable performance standards.
Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring effective planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating.
Provides effective management of employees directly or indirectly through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management.

You are best suited for the role if you...
Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, in a progressive leadership role.
3 years as a licensed Wastewater Treatment Operator with 2 years progressive Supervisory experience.
Dairy or Food manufacturing experience, preferred.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial mechanical or related discipline, preferred.
If required by a State or Local regulatory agency, must possess a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's license from the applicable State where the facility operates or have the ability to obtain the license within 9 months of accepting the position.
Be able to perform and document various tests required by State and Federal agencies for the operation of a wastewater treatment plant.
Perform daily and periodic checks and tests of the wastewater treatment process.
Have working knowledge of the operation, methods and procedures of a wastewater treatment plant.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety Practices and 5S systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications (SAP, a plus).
Experience leading and following safety/security policies and procedures.
Ability to follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
Ability to coach, train, lead and retain a team of employees.
Ability to recognize opportunities to simplify processes and create efficiencies.
Ability to credibly influence others with his/her point of view.
Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and management levels within the company.

The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a food manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazardous or caustic chemicals and exposure to electrical equipment/systems. The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is required in most areas of the facility. The use of a bump cap and eye protection is required.

Salary Range: $102,170-$134,100
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
