Job Description:

As a Server on the Tex-Mex Team, you will set the stage and have a direct impact on each guest's experience. Your level of service will determine whether each guest feels welcome, appreciated and well taken care of. As a server, it is required you maintain an energetic, friendly, and giving attitude at all times. It is your responsibility to make each guest feel as our real boss, our #1 priority and thoroughly enjoys their dining experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Welcome and greet guests.
  • Make our guests feel comfortable and let them know that you're there to personally take care of them.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant services.
  • Take food and beverage order from guests, enter orders into point-of-sale system.
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by management.
  • Monitor guests dining experience to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to requests and communicate guest feedback to managers.
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Obtain strong working knowledge of menu by completing server training.
  • Attend all scheduled team member meetings.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous restaurant experience not required, but preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.
  • Ability to add and subtract two and three digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to operate computer point-of-sale system.
  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
  • Food Handler Certification required.
  • TABC Certification required.
