JOB TITLE:
Box Office Attendant
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
The Box Office in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts is the first contact point for students, faculty, staff, and patrons who have questions about performing arts events. The Box Office provides ticketing services and event information for all Music and Theatre & Dance performances.
Job location: Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts
Pay rate or range: $10/hr
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide ticketing and event information in person, over the phone, and online for all Buchanan Center performances. Help support all functions of the Box Office. JFNTMP
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process ticket orders with the Tix ticketing software
Answer phone calls for ticket purchases and performance information
Operate under PCI compliance rules and procedures for credit card transactions
Count back change under Box Office cash handling procedures
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all patrons
Assist with social media marketing of the Box Office events
Other duties as assigned
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: N/A Other requirements: Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience in a customer service or box office role
Prior cash handling experience
EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS:

Experience with the operations of performing arts
