NVE Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Plumber to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team supporting federal facilities in the Kansas City, MO area. Candidate shall have at least five (5) years of journey-level experience in a trade or occupation in maintenance, repair buildings' installed plumbing systems and fixtures, and each installed system that includes water, air, and other piping. The individual will also be responsible for operating and performing Preventive Maintenance (PM) on plumbing building systems and fixtures, and other maintenance tasks that may be assigned.
Job Requirements/Duties:
Understand written and oral instructions to perform the required work
Perform basic building maintenance of plumbing systems and fixtures at a government commercial office building
Perform minor preventive maintenance functions of plumbing systems and fixtures, including backflow preventers and stormwater management systems
Responsible for maintaining, responding to service request, as needed under guidance of the PM, Chief Engineer, or Supervisor.
Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
Perform emergency repairs and available for after hour and weekend repairs
Work effectively with the customer, building tenants and other team members
Ability to troubleshoot, complete work order assigned in a timely matter
Ability to read blueprints and generate design concepts using available tools.
Capable with basic office equipment to include cell phone, tablet, telephone, fax and copy scanner.
Qualifications for the position include:
High School or Equivalent (at a minimum)
Journeyman Plumber License (must be maintained for continued employment)
OSHA 30 desired
An existing HSPD-12 Determination for Work Desired
