The Faith Outreach Coordinator provides spiritual support to the staff and individuals served by Indian Creek Foundation and facilitates relationships with area congregations and other faith-based groups. As an experienced chaplain or pastor, you will provide support to a diverse population, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your ability to engage with individuals of different faiths and spiritual perspectives will promote a sense of trust among those to whom you minister. You will support Indian Creek in many activities, including chapels, funerals, visitation, and debriefing. Additionally, you will promote Indian Creek to faith-based organizations and groups for educational and fundraising purposes. You may also be called upon for grief and loss support. The Faith Outreach Coordinator must enjoy working with a diverse group of people, have strong leadership skills, maintain a positive attitude, and be comfortable managing a wide range of emotional situations at any given moment.
Basic Qualifications
Education/Training
Bachelor's degree in theology, divinity, or related field. Ordination preferred. Board Certified for CPE preferred.
Experience
Experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities required. Must have at least one year of experience in a chaplain role, have completed seminary, or have completed at least 3 units of CPE.

Essential Duties
Maintain a schedule that allows for flexibility, including evening and weekend hours.
Perform leadership responsibilities within the department.
Represent Indian Creek Foundation to faith-based organizations by making presentations and serving in ministry groups.
Support the fundraising efforts of the Development Department.
Participate on agency committees or community committees as assigned.
Supervise students who are earning CPE units through Indian Creek Foundation.
Provide pastoral care to the consumers of Indian Creek Foundation.
Provide regular worship opportunities such as weekly chapels and rosary/communion.
Coordinate funeral arrangements or grief and loss support as needed.
Provide visitation to housebound or hospitalized individuals and to senior centers.
Provide pastoral care to the staff of Indian Creek Foundation.
Be available to staff to debrief after difficult behavioral incidents or during the time of death or illness of a consumer or staff person.
Assist with spiritual needs of staff when requested and refer to HR as appropriate.
Facilitate relationships with area congregations.
Provide sermons at area congregations as requested.
Engage in outreach to local congregations to establish connections for individuals who show an interest in joining a congregation.
Serve as a resource to families, congregations, and pastors as needed to integrate individuals with disabilities into their respective congregations.
Other Duties
Assist with various administrative tasks to support department operations as directed; may also be assigned special projects.
Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
Meet on-going training requirements to maintain current certifications.
