Summary Provides backup for various positions within the Paint Department and runs the paint dumper.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Painting Position: Reads work order and prepares paint gun to be loaded with color needed.
Selects premade colors on table (that have been made by the Paint Maker).
Sprays fasteners with spray gun with an even coat of paint - spinning rack to ensure coverage on all sides of fastener head.
Loads painted fasteners on cart after completing painting.
Cleans equipment in between colors.
Runs distiller when needed.
Mixes paint when needed.
Assist in workflow in immediate paint area when needed.
Dumping Position: Read work order and accurately package product to match order specifications (including parts, color, box type, label type).
Assist painter by organizing carts and putting carts in and out of oven.
Understand the process flow of product throughout painting area.
Rack product to help meet production goals.
Understand and consistently meet production goals.
PSC Operator (Packing End): Closely follow workflow and accurately apply carton labels; pack parts quickly enough to keep up with machine.
Paint Make Room: Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the room; fill canisters as needed; help mix colors and make paint.
Ability to use and confidently move around computer display screens and diagnostics.
Follows 5S procedures to maintain clean and safe work area.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Basic Computer Skills are required.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to see colors. Must pass a physical exam for repeatedly lifting 50+ pounds.
