Lead Financial Associate FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary:
The Lead Financial Associate should not only be experienced with performing all of the duties of an exceptional Financial Associate, but also able to supervise and train their team of Financial Associates. This position is also responsible for upholding the outstanding reputation of the bank by providing unmatched hospitality and customer support, both internally and externally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to efficiently identify all of the customer's needs and excel in referring other products within all of the other lines of business that the bank may offer. This will be done by maintaining knowledge of both personal and business products.
Vault responsibilities: order & ship money; vault must be in balance every day
Order & maintain supplies (or ability to delegate)
Perform an internal audit of: the cash drawers, bait money, reserve official checks, loan disbursement checks, traveler checks, and gift cards
Supervision: maintaining the Financial Associate PTO schedules, monitor excessive/unwarranted overtime, assign branch closing schedule, assist Financial Associates with any outages/overages, provide and discuss counseling notices if necessary
Training & monitoring the Financial Associates of all applicable policies and procedures
Maintain a Monthly/ Yearly Retention log
Accurately process all transactions
Check New Account files
Ensure opening & closing procedures are completed accurately
Maintain Combo & Key Logs
Perform a security check monthly
ATM balancing
Making sure all logs are completed properly each day & approve all logs
Handles the ordering & shipping of foreign currency
Obtain Officer approvals when necessary
Maintain calendar reminders regarding scheduling or teller's duties
Ability to recognize suspicious activity (internally & externally)
Answer questions and resolve any employee and/or customer issues that may arise.
Motivates other Financial Associates to remain friendly and professional at all times.
Must be knowledgeable of products offered.
Must be knowledgeable of the following laws and regulations to include, but not limited to the following: BSA, CIP, FACT Act, USA Patriot Act, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg E
Ability to back up the Customer Service Representative in the opening of new accounts occasionally.
Prepare miscellaneous reports/data to Management as requested.
Answer incoming calls, whether externally or internally;
Professionally, courteously and promptly greet and acknowledge all customers that walk into the Office
Provide various account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling official checks
Complete special requests such as taking orders for checks; preparing official checks; exchanging foreign currencies; providing special statements, copies, and completing safe-deposit box procedures.
Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulatory requirements and complete hold notices when necessary and according to policy
Balance cash drawer periodically throughout the day and/or at least daily

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of prior banking or cash handling experience preferred
2+ years of prior supervisory experience and/or has demonstrated the supervisory attributes noted above
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Physical Demands:
This employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly sit; talk; hear; and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee will occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Special vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment and physical demands are those of a standard retail branch setting.
