Faculty facilitate student learning and initiate and participate in efforts to consistently improve the level of student success. As learning facilitators, faculty consistently assess learning outcomes and their own teaching effectiveness.
This position reports to the Dean, School of Manufacturing, Engineering, and IT.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver curriculum, monitor, and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
Effective management of the classroom and/or laboratory.
Promote and engage in student recruitment, retention and completion goals fostering a culture of professionalism and inclusive learning.
Monitor and assess student learning outcomes and provide timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance.
Participate in advisory and/or institutional committees.
Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in field and/or discipline.

Develop relationships with business and industry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Related Degree (Architectural, Structural, Mining, Environmental, Construction Management) PLUS at least 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience in Civil Engineering
OR
Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field PLUS four years (8,000 hours) of occupational experience in Civil Engineering
OR
7 years (14,000 hours) of occupational experience in Civil Engineering
* Included in the above experience, at least 2,000 hours of verified occupational experience must be within the last five years OR at least 2 years of full-time (8 semesters of part-time) post-secondary teaching experience in the occupational field within the last five years.*

SHORT TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE (The Standard)

Ninety (90) day waiting period before benefits become payable. 66 2/3% of salary during period of disability to be reviewed by insurance company at the end of two years. Premium paid by District.

WISCONSIN RETIREMENT SYSTEM
The employer pays 6.5% and the employee pays 6.5% of the shares. Normal retirement benefits are based on a formula for retirement at age 65.
