As part of the Corporate Accounting team, and a large global accounting team, you will be responsible for the accounting related to various aspects of Sabre's Corporate and consolidated activities. In this position, you will have the opportunity to interact with a broad and diverse group that includes Treasury, Finance, Internal Audit, and our External auditors. Responsibilities of the Accountant II include:
Completion of month-end close process, preparing journal entries for Corporate Accounting for areas such as benefits, prepaids, and accruals. Additionally, reconciling general ledger accounts and resolving related issues,
Contribute to the Corporate quarterly balance sheet fluctuation analysis,
Assist with the preparation and posting of lease accounting entries (under ASC 842),
Assist with managing the global accounting reconciliation process along with Sabre's internal tasks and EY PBCs utilizing Blackline. Assist with Blackline system administrative duties,
Contribute to segregation of duties analyses and internal controls, utilizing SAP's GRC tool,
Assist with Master Data Governance through independently reconciling key inputs and outputs,
Monitor monthly results and reporting in HFM consolidation tool for completeness and accuracy,
Prepare key controls and support SOX certification processes,
Maintain and update accounting policies around accruals,
Coordinate with internal and external auditors in their quarter/annual audits,
Perform special projects as needed.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required (master's degree preferred),
CPA or parts passed preferred.
Experience & Skills:
Three (3) years accounting experience, Two (2) years public accounting preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP and experience with internal controls.
Advanced MS Excel skills, including comfort with the use of pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced formula inputs and hot keys.
Experience with SAP and HFM preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills, written and verbal.
Candidate must be detail oriented and accurate with good mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Work effectively and efficiently within given timelines.
Willingness to dive into the details when necessary to accomplish responsibilities and solve problems.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
