Mass General Brigham Orthopedics Walk-in - Peabody



NSPG, a member of Mass General Brigham Medical Group, is launching a walk-in, no appointment necessary orthopedic injury clinic at our Peabody location of 4 Centennial Drive, Suite 103! Our goal is for our trained clinicians to provide expert same-day care through comprehensive evaluation and treatment for orthopedic or sports related injuries to muscles, bones or joints. We also offer radiology services on-site to ensure fast, accurate diagnosis so our patients are on the road to recovery as soon as possible.

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Athletic Trainer to join our growing team in this newly established clinic! The Athletic Trainer will ideally support the practice Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Our practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and we're looking for candidates who can provide flexible support to the team when needed.



Overview



Dedicated to clinical support as true partners to our providers, our Athletic Trainers are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the care team. In this role, the Athletic Trainer will work directly with a provider in a 1-to-1 setting, ensuring the highest level of patient care.


The Athletic Trainer assists with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients during office visits. There is potential to see up to 18 patients per day. This role involves performing clinical tasks delegated by the provider, in alignment with the Athletic Trainer's training and skills.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Assisting in patient evaluations and treatments as directed by the provider.

  • Ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the office.

  • Maintaining clean, safe, and organized patient care areas.

  • Promoting a positive patient experience through professional, friendly interactions.

The ideal candidate profile is an experienced, thorough Athletic Trainer who is confident in their clinical abilities and proactively anticipates both provider and patient needs.



Required



  • Graduate of an accredited Athletic Training/Sports Medicine Program.

  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts


Preferred



  • One year of ATC/physician extender experience.

  • In addition to the required degree, an Associates Degree or completion of a Medical Assistant program. Nursing Assistant certification or other healthcare preparation will be considered.

  • Certification by the NATA as a Certified Athletic Trainer
