VALUE STREAM MANAGER
Job Summary
* Lead manufacturing of value stream process, including all aspects of safety performance, product quality and quantity, personnel management and discipline, training, budgeting, cost control/reduction and continuous improvement utilizing the COS tools.
* Responsible for developing a strong team environment with clear and effective communications.
* Serve as a key interface with a variety of support personnel including Plant Dept. Managers, other Value Stream associates across the company, R&D, Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, Technical Services, Scheduling, Sales, Customer Service, HR, and Logistics.
* Supervisory responsibilities of 6 direct reports and approx. 150 indirect reports
* Expected hours of work around 7:00 am to 5:00 pm with coverage required across shifts of responsibilities. Cadence representation on midnight shift is required. Hours are to be flexed to address value stream requirements.
* Travel requirements of less than 10% annually
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Short- and Long-Term Production Planning to align with corporate and divisional objectives.
* Supervision, coaching and development of supervisors and overall team.
* Manage the support of continuous improvement initiatives, countermeasures, and kaizen events in support of safety, quality, delivery, costs, and personnel.
* Lead value stream tiered accountability effectiveness and sustainment
* COS Steering Committee & Rollout
* Manage the support and compliance to respective regulatory requirements (ISO, CE, ANSI, FM, etc.)

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Knowledge of general use and function of SAP
* Working knowledge of standard lean tools (VSM, SIPOC, FMEA, root cause analysis)
* Skills: Communication, growth minded, resilience, adaptability, accountable, teamwork, initiative, project management.
* Ability to interpret manufacturing process flow and equipment performance.
* Ability to function in team environment to participate and facilitate collaborative work.
* Ability to interpret complex objectives and dissect into tangible project steps.

* Ability to develop and mentor team using effective leadership principles.

Education and Experience:
* Required:
* Minimum education level required: bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or other technical related discipline.
* Minimum experience level required: 3-5 years in manufacturing position or one that is closely associated with plant operations.
* Prior supervisory experience required to include leading team(s) of 10+ for at least 2 years.
* Preferred:
* Desired certifications in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, leadership development, and/or OSHA 10-hour
Working Conditions:
* Work environment is split between an office and manufacturing setting.
* The manufacturing setting is loud and will often be hot and dusty.
* Daily cadence is fast paced to support manufacturing process success. Person must be able to adapt and prioritize appropriately.
