Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Procurement will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for the organization. They will lead a team of procurement professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure that the organization's procurement needs are met. The Senior Manager, Procurement will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including identifying procurement needs, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, including ethical and legal standards
  • Monitor procurement performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that procurement needs are met and that procurement activities support the organization's goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address procurement-related issues
  • Experience with procurement software and systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer service

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
  • Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
