The Electrical Design Engineer will perform and be involved in design, implementation, validation, and documentation of board level hardware circuits and products.
This position will be onsite at Vertiv's Delaware Ohio facility.
Responsibilities:
Develops and usually leads development projects or activities in an area of scientific or engineering specialty.
Contributes to and directs the development of new product opportunities for Vertiv.
Working with contract resources and/or manufacturers for prototype/production board builds
Experience in analyzing tradeoffs (e.g. cost and time to market) for elements of a design
Proficiency in writing functional requirements and documenting designs
Collaborate with other groups, including hardware, firmware, software, system test, customer support, and manufacturing
Ability to analyze and solve technical issues with limited or no supervision
Experience with Mentor or other schematic capture tools
Demonstrated knowledge of high speed signal layout and analog design
Experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools
Ability to handle multiple projects/multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to execute on schedules for hardware board development lifecycles
Ability to debug, validate, and develop/support manufacturing tests on board level products
Experience in design for testability and manufacturability
Experience with compliance and testing requirements including ESD, EMI, etc.
Background in datacenter equipment hardware a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary
Represents Engineering in technical meetings with Vertiv departments and others outside of Vertiv.

Provide support to the South Point facility.
Construction and project schedule development and adherence.

Requirements:
BSEE or equivalent
8-12 years of hardware board/product development experience
