This sales enablement role supports automation products sales through field, customer and sales training, building demos, installing our products, design and integration of automation products, programming/configuration of automation products and identifying/documenting technology gaps in our portfolio required to make a customer sale. This role works with Automation Sales Network providing the technology expertise of our entire Automation Products portfolio including power supplies, network switches, PLCs, IoT Gateways, IPCs, HMIs, software products, cabinet products and third party platforms. Programming responsibilities include: U-remote, U-Logic, U-Studio, easy-connect, Node-Red and Codesys. The candidate will also participate in live customer interactive demonstrations and validation exercises assisting sales in closing design wins.
Description:
5+ years' experience in highly skilled technical field and sales support of electro-mechanical product/systems utilizing control system and control system components coupled with formal accredited technical training at minimum of Associates degree level
PLC Control Systems design experience (proven experience with PLCs, remote/distributed IO, power distribution, sensor integration, actuators, robotics, network architectures, VFDs, panel wiring, PLC programming and SCADA screen building)
Demonstrated ability to accurately use a variety of precision measuring instruments (DVMs, O-scopes, Ammeters, power meters, current sensing) and to read and understand complex engineering designs/drawings which includes wiring and electronic schematics
Autocad experience
Works from complex engineering drawings and specifications, detailed written and/or verbal instructions, handbooks, manuals, etc.
Read, learn from, comprehend and author complex product datasheets, instructions, handbooks and other written instructions
Understand and ability to follow the National Electric Code (NEC) and panel building best practices. Experience with UL, CE, OSHA training
Experience with fieldbus protocols, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, EthernetCAT, Modbus TCP, OPCUA is a requirement
Works in an Agile team structure
Build out Edge to Cloud demonstrations and applications on Weidmueller products and software platforms
Deploy cloud based connective systems based on Weidmueller IIoT technology: IoT Gateways, cellular routers, IPCs, PLCs and HMIs
Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion providing end-user assistance and training where required
Works with ASN IoT Engineers to develop and optimize unvalidated systems in preparation for customer demonstrations and installations
Build/deploy custom HMI screens using Weidmueller software tools such as ProCon Web
Codesys programming (training provided) on PLC products and IPCs
Entire systems installation/building/integration. Help customer integrate and displace competitive products
Help sales team explain and identify value propositions and differentiation of Weidmueller's APS products, services and solutions
Work closely with Automation Sales Network to define, design, deploy control and IoT products
Identify gaps in our portfolio, define action plan to address those gaps through development/partnerships and execute on that plan
Qualify, benchmark and demonstrate new product deployments
In field/On site training of Weidmueller personnel, sales, distributors and customers. Execute onsite training, lunch and learns.
Team player who works well with Technical Support, Purchasing, Customer Service, Engineering, Marketing Teams, Warehouse, Production, and the other divisions
Teams with Weidmueller sales organization, industry managers, manufacturer's representatives, and distributors to grow markets, sales, and customer relationships

Skills and Qualifications:
College degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Automation, or a comparable qualification experience required
