Industry Solutions Engineer
Richmond, VA
Industry solutions engineer will be focused on customers within the process industry, engaging with decision makers on specification and design. Target customers are oil and gas, pulp and paper, food processing, steel, aluminum, and recycling processers.
Description:
- Identify, pursue, and gain specification position on projects for Weidmuller products, systems, and solutions in target process Industries
- Respond to customer requests for training, delivery, project status and technical information
- Fully utilize CRM as a communication, reporting, measurement and tracking tool to enhance productivity
- Follow all aspects of design projects and support customer through to design completion
- Ensures thorough familiarity with and actively adheres to all Environmental and Safety and Security Policies and performs their duties in accordance with those policies
- Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental and security regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, CFR 1910 OSHA) as well as Company policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Project Management) or related experience
- PMP Certification
- 5 years working in industrial project design and engineering
- Experience working in B2B sales with direct customers
- Strong understanding of electrical and automation control
- Strong understanding of industrial processes
- Strong understanding of engineering and design
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of project management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of SAP and CRM
- Travel as required (50/50)
