About the role
The Assistant Site Supervisor/ Production Controller assists the Site Supervisor with supervisory tasks and works within the Production Control work center coordinating work center production efforts to expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within departments. The overall goal is to provide optimum intermediate level support to squadrons VX-9, VX-31 and any outlying areas.
Key responsibilities include:
Plans, organizes, directs, and manages the maintenance and repairs of aircraft components, and aviation support equipment within the Intermediate Maintenance Department (IMD).
Directs and manages the scheduling of aircraft components, and aviation support equipment inspections.
Informs the Production Control Officer of work progress and advises them on matters pertaining to maintenance and repairs of aircraft, aircraft components, and aviation support equipment.
Ensures the material condition and mission capability of weapons systems.
Directs and monitors requisitioning, receipt, and allocations of materials, tools, aircraft components, and aviation support equipment.
Ensures compliance with applicable technical publications through the use of maintenance instruction manuals for the appropriate type/model/series aircraft, associated systems, aviation support equipment, aeronautical components, and aviation equipment.
Ensures all aircraft components, and aviation support equipment maintenance data is collected and properly disseminated.
Works closely with the Aviation Supply Department to ensure the required materials, components, and tools are available for use.
Utilizes NALCOMIS and other Navy computer systems to ensure all repair parts are accurately ordered, received, and issued.
Follows up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes.
Perform the duties of the Assistant Site Supervisor as needed or during periods of absence of the Site Supervisor.
About you

High School Diploma or GED. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to obtain restricted areas (RA) and critical information systems via eligibility to attain and maintain a CAC card. At a minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a Navy/Marine Production Controller. Must be proficient with navigating within IMA NALCOMIS and Aviation Supply computer programs. Be proficient and have knowledge in explaining the various production reports and associated criteria. Will be familiar with all relevant publications, directives, orders, and tooling. Must possess a valid state drivers license if billet requires use of a government owned vehicle. Must be able to pass a background check and attain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance. TDY travel may be required on occasion.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
Primarily in an office environment but may traverse into high noise areas or near active jet aircraft operating ramps. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key). This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. The noise level in the primary work environment is usually moderate. May be exposed at times to moderate discomforts such as heat, cold, rain, wind.
