Prepare quantity take-off and cost estimates for projects to furnish and install multiple product lines. Work side by side with sales team to effectively provide quotes to potential clients.
Responsibilities
Ability to understand and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, sketches, and construction documentation.
Create accurate, detailed estimates using quoting software tools.
Apply the correct unit cost for materials, labor, and additional services, when required.
Analyze the project requirements and define the application of the product.
Prepare quantity take-off from construction documentation provided.
Define the correct materials.
Understanding of the construction process, means and methods.
Detail oriented and very organized, maintain neat and clean work area.
Uses good time management skills to complete project tasks and meet established due dates.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1 to 3 years of related estimating experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
Intermediate computer skills required including a proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, Visio).
Basic understanding of low voltage electronics.
Basic understanding of multiple product lines.
