Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Applications Developer Expert in Laurel, MD.

Essential Functions:

• Applications Developer Expert will support implementation and maintenance of the ESRI GIS environment


• Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit requirements and processes


• Design software solutions that adhere to programming best practices


• Develop customized database programs to enhance COTS products


• Create and maintain integrations to external applications


• Perform unit testing to validate solutions; Assist with user acceptance testing


• Follow change management procedures to migrate new solutions to Production


• Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving identified issues


• As an Applications Developer Expert, you will follow service level agreement (SLA) metrics when resolving production issues


• Collaborate with IT team to deliver secure solutions on schedule and on budget


• Mitigate security vulnerabilities by working with IT Security and COTS vendor


• Work with COTS vendor to support, maintain, and upgrade applications


• Configure maintenance objects and business objects in Oracle WAM

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the specific discipline required by the Commission; A Master's degree or Ph.D. degree is preferred


• Must have experience managing a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple stakeholders or businesses


• Must have expert knowledge and experience in Geographic Information systems


• Must have experience in test driven development


• Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic work environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
