The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. As a Human Resource Business Partner, you'll be the strategic liaison between HR and the operations who implements HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provide guidance on HR policies and practices, and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development.
What you will do:
Collaborate with senior management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
Become a trusted business partner being heavily involved with strategic workforce planning, pipeline planning, succession planning, data analysis, investigations, employee relations, and employee insights action planning among other core HR activities.
Align HR policies and programs which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
Act as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation and benefits, etc.
Identify, obtain, organize and analyze HR relevant data to provide senior management with data-driven recommendations.
Navigate Workday at a comfortable level to provide business insights.
Regularly present ideas, suggestions, and solutions by utilizing active listening skills and probing techniques to address areas of opportunity or concern.
Interpret and communicate organizational policies, procedures and processes for dealing with employee relations issues and performance management.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract talented individuals to the organization.
Coordinate talent development and reward and recognition programs designed to retain top talent.
Define structured communications methods for delivering information to employees at all levels on HR and Operations related initiatives.
Support and engage in employee initiatives, working with team members and leaders to proactively create, monitor and maintain healthy working environments.
Act as a Diversity & Inclusion change agent, partnering with local steering teams & Employee Resource Groups to provide an inclusive culture.
Contribute as a member on a variety of projects or teams supporting the business.
Desired Experience:
Experience with supporting both management and production workforce as an HR professional
Working knowledge of Workday
Flexibility to provide support on multiple shifts as needed
Strong communication and project management skills

The primary worksite will be in Morton, IL
Travel percentage for this role would be no more than 5%

Summary Pay Range: $108,360.00 - $162,480.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
