We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is integral to our operations, encompassing cost accounting analysis, management reporting, and supporting the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have 1-2 years of relevant experience. Hybrid Schedule in the St. Paul area!
Key Responsibilities:
Perform cost accounting and analysis, maintaining cost systems and creating detailed inventory cost reports.
Generate management reports and recommend inventory-related changes as needed.
Support department supervisors with materials inventory and work-in-progress verification.
Complete daily bank deposits and assist with credit-related tasks.
Prepare accurate and timely accounts payable vouchers and checks, ensuring proper approvals and resolving vendor account issues.
Prepare and close month-end accounts payable systems, including reporting to the controller.
Maintain accounts payable and state sales tax certificates in an organized, preferably digital format.
Prepare vendor 1099 federal forms and maintain vendor totals annually.
Process and verify accounts receivable invoices, ensuring accurate billing information.
Generate daily sales reports and handle electronic data interchange (EDI) tasks for customer purchases and invoicing.
Record and process daily mail checks for deposit.
Requirements:
1-2 years of combined accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
