We are working with a dynamic and well-established family law firm in the Bay Area, seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Family Law Legal Assistant/Secretary to join this team. This role is essential in supporting multiple attorneys with a range of administrative and legal tasks while ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
Prepare and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and agreements.
File documents electronically and in person with local courts, ensuring compliance with deadlines and court rules.
Manage attorneys' calendars, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, and client meetings.
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
Organize and maintain client files, both physical and digital, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
State court e-filing
Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant case information when needed.
Provide general administrative support such as answering phones, ordering supplies, and managing correspondence.
