Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist - Onsite
Pay Rate Range: $38.66/hr. - $47.33/hr.
Description/Comment:
This individual will implement, monitor, improve and develop Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at the Client's Sandy Springs and Atlanta, GA locations. This position will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations as well as promote a safe work culture dedicated to identifying and eliminating hazards, managing risks, educating, and improving the overall safety and health of our employees. This role is located in Atlanta, GA.

What you will do:
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environment and safety
* Maintain and improve environment, health, and safety programs (i.e. Emergency management, Lockout tagout, Hazardous communication, Ergonomics, Illness and injury prevention)
* Conduct EH&S assessments to evaluate EHS risks
* Develop EH&S procedures for new processes, equipment, chemicals, tasks, etc.
* Conduct incident investigations and develop corrective and preventive actions to reduce potential for re-occurrence and prevent future incidents
* Provide input on hazardous waste disposal and waste handling
* Provide technical support to manufacturing, engineering, facilities, Labs and R&D
* Help lead and support EHS Points of Contact at each site (Sandy Springs and Atlanta)
* Chemical review and hazard communication
* Develop and execute company training programs for employees in areas such as HazCom, incident reporting and investigation, Emergency preparedness, lab safety, ergonomics, etc.
* Collect and maintain EHS data and metrics for site KPIs
* Oversee the Emergency Response Program ensuring adequate assessments, resources and training are in place to respond to emergency scenarios
What you need:
* Bachelor's degree required
* 4+ years of post-graduate related work experience required
* Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry -preferred
* Experience managing consultants, contractors, and vendors - preferred
