This position is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the maintenance of the production machinery and warehouse, management and maintenance of the facility, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Manage day-to-day operations of facility and maintain warehouse in a safe and organized manner • Direct and manage day-to-day duties of the facilities maintenance technician(s) • Direct and manage the day-to-day duties of custodian • Assess and troubleshoot facility needs and provide feedback to Manager or Leadership team • Coordinate all management services for the site. • Calibration and maintenance of production machinery and repairs as necessary • Manage and maintain incoming & outgoing power of the building including low and medium voltage • Assess and perform general repairs in the areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, HVAC • Operate pallet jack, scissor and boom lifts, forklift and climb ladders to access elevated areas and rooftop when required • Drive and operate company vehicles • Respond and assess building emergencies during off hours such as weekends, holidays and evenings • Coach employees on standard operating procedures and work instructions; assist functional areas in the development and implementation of processes and procedures • Initiate and conduct plant audits and inspections; perform audit procedures, including: • Identifying and defining issues • Developing criteria • Documenting business processes and procedures. • Ensure compliance with Company policies, standards, procedures, and applicable government industry regulations and State and Local laws • Assist in identifying and evaluating the organization's risk areas and provide input of continuous improvement of processes and procedures • Other miscellaneous duties as required • Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this job

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience • Must be at least 21 years of age • Must have a valid Class C Driver's License • 5 years of experience in maintenance of facilities • Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical troubleshooting
Knowledge and Skills: • Must be able to read, write and converse fluently in English with the level of competency that will permit the applicant to function in the position. Examples of job duties that require a high level of English fluency are: verbally communicate with employees, vendors, customers, contractors and emergency service personnel • Must be a team player, have good attendance, and be a hard worker • Must have knowledge of production equipment, controlled environments and critical systems • Must have knowledge of facilities operations, physical plant, safety and security, and fire protection systems • Must be able to understand blueprints, drawings and schematics • Must be able to climb and work at elevations • Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools • Must take direction, follow instruction and work with others with a positive attitude
