HEICO is seeking an IT Project Manager for a full time direct hire position Hollywood, FL.
The IT Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of IT initiatives across our Software Development, Infrastructure, Service Desk, and Information Security teams. By leveraging agile practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, and daily standups, the IT Project Manager will ensure efficiency, transparency, and alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, the IT Project Manager will act as a liaison between IT and business units, facilitating governance processes, securing approvals, and assisting in business case development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Agile and Traditional Project Management
Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Organize, prioritize, and manage product and project backlogs, ensuring alignment with team and organizational priorities.
Lead the planning and execution of sprints to deliver incremental project value while maintaining high quality.
Identify, document, and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of roadblocks.
Coach IT teams and stakeholders on agile principles to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
IT Initiative Coordination
Work closely with the four IT teams (Software Development, Infrastructure, Service Desk, and Information Security) to understand project requirements, dependencies, and challenges.
Collaborate with team leads to ensure resource alignment and to address capacity constraints.
Coordinate cross-functional projects to ensure timely delivery and integration of IT solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
Serve as the primary liaison between IT teams and business units, fostering clear and effective communication.
Facilitate governance processes, including securing business approvals and ensuring alignment with organizational policies and priorities.
Partner with business leaders to develop compelling business cases for IT initiatives, articulating value, ROI, and alignment with strategic goals.
Maintain comprehensive but pragmatic project documentation, including project charters, status reports, meeting minutes, and post-implementation reviews.
Continuous Improvement
Advocate for and implement best practices in IT project management and agile methodologies.
Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities to enhance delivery efficiency and team productivity.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic planning and innovation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
If necessary, directly supervises exempt and/or nonexempt Team Members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities might include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
EXPERIENCE:
Five or more years of progressive experience as an IT Project Manager and Scrum Master, with a deep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Strong experience leading agile teams, facilitating ceremonies, and managing sprint-based workflows.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across IT domains (e.g., software development, infrastructure, service desk, information security).
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a talent for aligning complex projects with strategic objectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with technical teams and business stakeholders.
Experience with project management tools such as Service Now, Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with IT governance practices, business case development, and ROI analysis.
Knowledge of ITIL practices and frameworks.
Experience in a fast-paced, matrixed environment managing enterprise-level IT initiatives.
