Staff Management | SMX has and IMMEDIATE opening and is looking for REMOTE Customer Service Representatives for a call center supporting the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES). Call Center Agents will be responsible for providing high-quality customer service assistance when responding to customer inquiries. Call Center Agents will be responsible for assuring speedy resolution of inquiries utilizing all available resources. One week remote training provided and must be able to pass an assessment test. Pay is $18/hour and $18.50/hour for Spanish bilingual. Must be an Illinois resident.

Job Responsibilities
Adhere to the Privacy Act as it relates to the confidentiality of information released;
Respond to incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries from claimants, employers, and other stakeholders.
Provide accurate and timely information on unemployment benefits, job search assistance, and other related services.
Resolve customer issues and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
Review and process unemployment insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Conduct eligibility determinations and make decisions on benefit payments.
Investigate and resolve claim disputes and discrepancies.
Accurately enter and maintain detailed records of customer interactions, claims, and other relevant information.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a resident of Illinois
High School diploma or equivalent required;
Must be able to speak English clearly and professionally;
Previous call center experience preferred;
Previous customer service experience required;
Must be able to type a minimum of 25 words per minute with at least 90% accuracy;
Must have intermediate computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple data screens;
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to multi-task.
Must pass all assessments or tests associated with the position.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $18.00 - $18.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
