Cloud Project Engineer - Managed Service Provider (MSP)

Location: Washington, DC (Mostly remote with occasional travel in the D.C Metro area)

We're seeking a Cloud Project Engineer to lead cloud-focused projects, leveraging Microsoft platforms and technologies.

About the Role

As a Cloud Project Engineer, you will design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions for a variety of clients. This role involves hands-on work with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and networking technologies. You'll also play a key role in client onboarding and delivering tailored IT solutions that exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, deploy, and migrate to Azure services including Azure Compute, Networking, AVD, Windows 365, and Entra ID.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft security tools such as Defender XDR, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Lead projects like Office 365 email migrations, SharePoint migrations, Intune configurations, and Teams Phone deployments.
  • Configure and manage networking hardware, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points (WAPs).
  • Support and troubleshoot components of Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, and Intune.
  • Work with networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and ensure smooth integration of virtual and physical firewalls.
  • Assist with client onboarding and provide exceptional customer service throughout projects.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of relevant project engineering experience, ideally in an MSP environment.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Windows Server.
  • Hands-on experience with networking hardware and protocols.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like CMMC, NIST 800-171, and PCI is a plus.
  • A proactive, client-first mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
