Position: Sr. Database Manager with Intersystem IRIS databases & ( State Dept Project Experience Needed )

Responsibilities

Required Skills:

• Expertise with Intersystem IRIS databases is highly preferred.
• Experience in backend database analysis and data migration.

1. Service Tasks:

• Create system designs and provide documentation for feature enhancements, additions, and bug fixes.
• Modify and create application and database code ready for User Acceptance Testing.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and document resolutions for system issues in collaboration with the HMS support group and Applications Management team.
• Provide work estimates, updates for Release Planning, Sprint Planning, and Daily Scrum meetings.
• Document application modifications and additions in a documentation repository.
• Complete department-assigned training and provide proof of completion.

1. Data Security and Confidentiality:

• Adhere to all Department data security procedures and policies while performing tasks.

1. Deliverables:

• Monthly provision of database manager services as outlined in the tasks, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Meet 100% compliance with the deliverables to avoid financial penalties.

Qualifications for the Database Manager Role:

1. Experience Requirements:

• 7 years of experience with:
• InterSystems IRIS/Caché Object Script development.
• Designing and implementing IRIS/Cache databases, including data modeling and SQL.
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 5 years of experience with:
• SQL queries, JSON, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, and XML.
• Expert-level proficiency in object-oriented programming.

1. Technical Knowledge:

• Experience in building and consuming web services in InterSystems Caché.
• Working knowledge of SOAP, SSL certificates, Java key stores, and encryption.
• Familiarity with message/file transfer protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, SFTP, PGP).
• Understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

1. Preferred Skills:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in cloud database migration is advantageous.
