Position Summary:
The new Director of FP&A will drive P&L improvement initiatives while supporting annual planning, forecasting, reporting, and pricing decisions. This role collaborates with concept leaders, senior leadership, and department heads to set benchmarking targets, analyze results, and recommend corrective actions.
Reports to: Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Analysis: Develop exception reporting and BI tools to identify under performing locations and recommend corrective actions. Partner with operations to track and drive improvements.
Sales & Margin Optimisation: Analyse sales initiatives, cost-reduction programs, and capital investment opportunities. Examples include labor cost analysis, delivery optimisation, and financial performance bench marking.
Pricing Strategy: Analyse and recommend menu pricing adjustments, balancing margin pressures and competitive considerations.
Financial Planning & Reporting: Collaborate with the FP&A team on annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting processes, consolidating insights across concepts.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience (preferably in the restaurant industry).
Strong analytical and leadership skills.
Proficiency in technology and performance management tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage pressure and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Collaborate with four concept leaders and operations teams. While there are no direct reports initially, team leadership experience is a plus.This role is critical to maximising the financial performance and operational efficiency of WKS's iconic brands.
