Their team is composed of highly experienced professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and clinically-trained advocates. The core programming offered by our client includes integrated therapies such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, and occupational therapy, delivered in clinic, home, and community settings. Additionally, they provide assistive technology evaluation and support services to individuals with disabilities of all ages through partnerships with local agencies.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our multi-site healthcare operations, manage critical functions across multiple states, and drive the organization toward profitability. The COO will oversee daily operations, implement business strategies, and help ensure the delivery of exceptional services. This individual must be comfortable "getting in the weeds" as needed to support a lean administrative operation as it begins its next phase of growth. This role also involves managing Human Resources and corporate administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Oversee and streamline the day-to-day operations of multi-site healthcare facilities across multiple states, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans that support the growth, profitability, and sustainability of the organization.
Multi-State Operations: Ensure compliance with regulations across multiple states and lead the organization in expanding services to new regions.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, including Human Resources and administrative teams. Collaborate with clinical center directors and senior clinical leadership to manage progress towards strategic and operational goals.
Financial Oversight: Work closely with the CFO and CEO to develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure efficient allocation of resources. Play a key role in driving the company toward profitability.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with the CCO and Director of Ethics and Compliance to implement quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the highest standards of service delivery.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to assess operational performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions to enhance service delivery.
Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to services.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in operational leadership, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or a related field, with a focus on multi-site operations.
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
In-depth experience working with Human Resources teams.
Experience working with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) teams in-house; a strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes, including Medicaid, preferred.
Proven track record of driving profitability in a rapidly growing, multi-state organization.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Excellent financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to multi-state healthcare operations, including Medicaid.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
