CLIENT PARTNER PROFILE & VALUE PROPOSITION: Leapros has been engaged by a global international shipping company headquartered in Long Beach, CA to fill a Treasury Analyst role. Our client has been in business for more than 30 years, has exceptional benefits and a great work environment. This role is 100% onsite and reports to the Global Treasurer.
POSITION TITLE: Treasury Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY: This position will support the Global Treasurer and the Global Controller in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of reports of Company's financial results to senior management, regional management and the shareholder. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to assisting with daily, weekly, month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, tax analysis & forecasting and other ad-hoc requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Prepare schedules used in the monthly reporting package for shareholders including analysis and drafting of initial commentary and explanations.
Help update and co-administer the on-line banking software multiple banking institutions.
Input International wire transfers on an as needed basis.
Validate dual signatories and appropriate authority levels for all company bank accounts.
Track Global Treasury related bank account balances and update Global Treasury cash excel file daily and associated global weekly forecasts.
On a weekly basis, consolidate the Global Operating bank account reports and forecasts as submitted by the regional finance managers.
On a monthly basis input the IC settlement wires at Barclays bank and Bank of America.
On a monthly basis reconcile the IC cash balances that arise from Netting.
Assist and support operational departments (i.e. Tax, Legal and Accounting with bank services to ensure successful implementation of company initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and that all internal controls over cash are properly documented.
On a monthly basis perform internal control check of the repetitive wire/ACH instructions compared to Oracle and USA AP.
Help update and co-administer the online IC netting platform.
Support FP&A Manager with all month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting as required.
On a monthly basis create, distribute and upload the monthly FX rates.
Perform ad hoc reporting on an as needed basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors in Accounting/ Finance with knowledge of financial statements and working experience in financial analysis and General Accounting preferred.
Proficient in MS Office - Outlook, Excel & VBA, and Word.
Ability to review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and validity.
Working knowledge of the financial systems, spreadsheets and database software for responding to inquiries and preparing financial analysis and reports.
Prior knowledge of IFRS beneficial.
Prior knowledge of debt instruments, contingent liabilities, foreign currency transactions.
Prior experience working in companies with both domestic and international operations.
Experience with reporting systems such as IBM Cognos TM1.
Knowledge of electronic payment systems used by US and international banks.
HSBC.net experience required.
Knowledge of other ERP systems like Oracle a plus.
Knowledge of multi-currency systems/platforms used for intercompany settlement a plus.
CTP certification a plus but not required.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: A reasonable estimate of the available {annual or hourly} pay scale for this position is: $90-100k annually. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
