PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:
This position is responsible for supporting administrative professionals to help them stay organized and complete tasks that allow them to focus on more advanced responsibilities. The core duties and responsibilities of an Administrative Assistant revolve around supporting others. The job duties can vary widely, not just from job to job, but from day to day at the same job.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee must perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities the supervisor requests. Job duties may change as required by the needs of the company.
Answering and directing phone calls
Organizing and scheduling appointments
Planning meetings and taking detailed minutes if needed
Writing and distributing email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
Assisting in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Developing and maintaining a filing system
Updating and maintaining office policies and procedures
Ordering office supplies and researching new deals and suppliers
Point of contact for staffing agencies; maintaining logs, attendance, and interviews
Logistics support for meetings and events for both locations
Maintaining contact lists
Point of contact for ordering food for meetings and guest
Point of contact for use of company van
Providing general support to visitors
Acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients
