We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to join a team at a leading manufacturer. The CSR will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing customer inquiries, and accurately quoting orders based on customer specifications and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and an understanding of manufacturing processes to support our sales team and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with customers to understand their product requirements and specifications.
Accurately prepare and provide quotes for orders based on customer needs, pricing structures, and lead times.
Utilize company pricing tools, systems, and software to generate accurate and competitive quotes.
Communicate with production teams to ensure accurate lead times and product availability for quotes.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries related to product availability, order status, delivery schedules, and pricing.
Provide timely and effective responses to customer emails, phone calls, and online inquiries.
Ensure customers are kept informed throughout the quoting and ordering process.
Enter customer orders into the company's system after quotes are accepted.
Monitor and track orders to ensure on-time delivery and address any issues that arise during production or shipping.
Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to resolve any delays or discrepancies in customer orders.
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, orders, and quotations.
Prepare and send necessary documentation, including order confirmations, invoices, and shipping details.
Generate reports as needed for management regarding sales, order status, and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, products, and industry terminology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and experience with order management or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
