JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled and resourceful Personal Executive Assistant to support the founder of our hedge fund with personal research projects and tasks.
The role focuses exclusively on personal work, as the firm's business-support needs are already ably supported by the firm's Executive Administration team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct project-based work with a strong emphasis on research • Identify and recruit subject-matter experts to provide insights in specialized areas • Handle light administrative duties (e.g., scheduling and calendaring), though these will be a smaller part of the role
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Solution- and results-oriented approach, with a demonstrated record of solving a wide variety of issues, including those that may emerge in areas that are new for the candidate and therefore will require a degree of preliminary, self-directed research • Problem-solving skills emphasizing resourcefulness, creativity, diplomacy and general savoir faire • Exceptional organizational skills in managing project workstreams, process and the candidate's own time • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong attention to detail • Pride and ownership in work product • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems creatively, resourcefully, and diplomatically • Strong research skills, including tackling unfamiliar topics with light guidance • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work • A proactive attitude with a willingness to handle tasks both big and small • Ability to handle sensitive personal information with discretion • Proficiency with modern consumer technologies used in remote work settings (e.g., iOS, Windows, Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, Zoom, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Prior experience with personal administrative support, preferably in the financial services industry • Prior experience with project management • Residency in New York City, ideally in Manhattan
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULE: • Approximately 15 hours per week to start, with potential for growth over time for a successful candidate • Generally flexible daily schedule • Significant components of the job involve research that can be completed on a flexible daily schedule • Portions of the job, including scheduling, will involve phone work that can be completed only during business hours • Weekend work and availability is generally NOT required, but could be an option for candidates who may prefer that
LOCATION: • The majority of the work will be remote • Occasional in-person tasks may be required. Accordingly, candidates with local residency and availability for such tasks will be given preference
