Connections Personnel is hiring for a Temp-Hire Office Manager for our client located in Fanwood.
Looking for a detail oriented, friendly individual to join their team!
Responsibilities:
Must be able to manage heavy workflow during busy periods, i.e. Tax Season.
Must have working knowledge of tax preparation software (currently use Drake).
Must be able to meet deadlines during busy periods.
Meet and greet customers in person, on telephone and email. Coordinate communication with clients, outside third parties and staff members. Maintain message logs and check daily phone/email messages.
Prepare letters and other written communication on daily basis.
Maintain bi-weekly payroll.
Maintain accounts payable function and monitor daily receipts and deposits.
Record in QuickBooks.
Collate and perform cursory review of tax returns throughout the year.
Monitor and maintain office supplies. Order new Tax Year supplies.
Maintain tax files for customers. Set-up files as needed. Monitor past year files.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Maintain off-site storage records.
Send out monthly statements to clients, perform modest collection duties.
Keep track of quarterly billing statements.
Coordinate and update list of clients
Order and send out Holiday/Year End mailing.
Prepare organizers to be sent and mail out
Order Pamphlets for office as needed
Prepare Corporation Engagement letters and Corporation tax planning letters for both QuickBooks Clients and non-QuickBooks clients (December - January) Prepare Individual Engagement Letters.
Advertise for extra help for tax season as needed.
Perform special projects as needed.
Assist CPA with business and individual tax returns as needed.

Requirements
College Degree Preferred with 3+ years' office management experience
Minimum High School diploma with 5 years of office management experience
Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to communicate with clients in a professional, courteous manner.
Must be able to maintain QuickBooks accounting software for the business.
Must possess superior organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task.
Must be proficient with Word, Excel, QuickBooks software.
Must be able to meet deadlines during busy periods.
SALARY $ 25.00-$30.00 a Hour
Hours 830am-430pm DURING TAX TIME HOURS WILL BE EXTENDED WHEN NEEDED
