We are currently seeking a Shop Manager. This individual must be very proactive to in order to accomplish the various task at hand. We are solving big problems, and have a big vision about bolting safety.
Basic Functions: Direct and coordinate activities of the day-to-day operations of the facility in an industrial organization. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination of receiving and shipments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Controlling activities of warehouse ensuring equipment is received and inventoried accordingly.
Monitors work processes and environmental conditions to ensure a safe work environment.
Provide a professional environment with relation to fellow team members, other department members
Placing stock orders in appropriate locations
Receiving purchase orders and handling in a timely manner
Shipping customer orders according to specifications; attention to detail
Keeping accurate real time inventory on shop, demo, & sales rep tooling
Receiving equipment for repairs
Performing repairs on equipment
Tracking & scheduling of upcoming customer calibrations
Keeping environment neat & organized
Capacity to effectively plan workload and assignments
Reviews orders to ascertain product types, quantities, specifications of product and schedule delivery dates.
Plans production to ensure customer deadlines are met.
Experience Preferred:
3-5 years of experience in warehousing required
Previous supervisory experience preferred
1-3 years of technical (mechanical) experience
Proven track record of order fulfillment
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
Qualifications:
Must be proactive; think outside the box to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate with management regarding any occurring issues
Career oriented; determined to perform beyond duties of role and seeking career advancement.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi task
Possess excellent judgment and decision making skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, handle/move equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time and must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
