Terms of Employment • W2 Contract, 12 months (Potential to Convert) • This position is hybrid with Tuesday-Thursday being in office. • The office is located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. • Occasional travel will be required to meet with clients. • Core hours are 9 AM-3 PM with flexible start and end times. • Candidates must be local to the Chicagoland area.
Overview • Our client is seeking two (2) Project Managers o oversee electrical, distribution, and transmission relocation projects, managing 12-15 projects simultaneously. These mid-level Project Managers will lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, handling all aspects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
Responsibilities • Developing project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. • Leading project teams and coordinating activities to ensure that project goals are met. • Monitoring project progress and identifying and addressing issues or risks. • Communicating with stakeholders and senior management to provide updates on project status. • Managing project budgets and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget. • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards. • Developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders and external partners. • Leading project meetings and facilitating discussions to drive project progress. • Managing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports. • Supporting the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes.
Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management and 5+ years of experience managing projects in the Utility field. • PMP Certification • Engineering background • Experience with utility and electrical distribution. • Proficient in MS Office Suite, CAD, PowerBi, and SmartSheet. • Strong understanding of finance to include building a budget, financial forecasting, and scheduling. • Ability to read plans. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Customer service orientation
