Our client is an established Design-Build Contractor that has been in business for over 60 years, based in Livonia, MI. With multiple offices in Michigan, they have a strong brand and reputation and seek a Senior Project Manager due to business growth.
Offering both GC and CM services, with self-perform trades, they have an extensive backlog and diverse project portfolio. Their portfolio consists of both ground up and renovation work, with a 90% repeat client rate. They have a background in higher education, mixed-use, retail and healthcare projects, typically ranging from $20M-$50M in value.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation
Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
Interface with project owners, inspectors, contractors, architects, and engineers
Negotiates revisions, changes, and additions with owners, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors for changes in scope of work
Ideal candidates should be able to manage a construction project to final completion; including, preconstruction services, constructability reviews, preparation of bid documents, estimating, budget implementation/analysis, subcontractor management, construction planning, and scheduling
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record managing large-scale projects
Strong preference for experience in higher education or healthcare construction
Demonstrated ability to manage client accounts, build relationships, and contribute to business development efforts
Proficient in construction management software, such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control
Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices
Compensation & Benefit Information
Salary between $120,000 - $150,000, dependent on experience
