Summary: The Family Engagement & Education Coordinator is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population while maintaining compliance with
established program standards.

Essential Functions:
1. Provides targeted outreach and recruitment of participants for Family Resource Center activities to identify underserved populations.
2. Conduct surveys among program participants to identify needed topics for education.
3. Provide training and support for families to conduct outreach on behalf of the program.
4. Collaborate with community partners to host topic-based workshops and sessions for program participants.
7. Facilitate group-based parent education sessions, workshops, and support groups.
8. Provide/facilitate training for families on self-advocacy and leadership.
9. Disseminate educational material tailored to meet the needs of enrolled participants.
10. Attends community events to perform outreach, and recruitment.
11. Establish and maintain a trusting and professional working relationship with families by providing regular contact.
12. Record all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into PEIRS (DFPS) and Salesforce (BCFS) software.
13. Meet with supervisor on a bi-weekly basis to evaluate status of families on caseload.
14. Meet all deliverables as outlined in the contract.
Measurable Deliverables:
1. Facilitate education sessions and support groups once a month (in-person, virtual, or hybrid).
2. Collaborate with Program Director and Resource Navigator to provide family activities/ workshops, basic needs, and caregiver support groups to 327 families annually.
3. Provide referrals, and other support services to participants .
4. Document all attendance on a weekly basis in PEIRS and Salesforce.
5. Attend all required annual trainings.
6. Develop updates, reminders, and community education information on a monthly basis.
7. Maintains BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in the BCFS employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and complying with the required dress code at all times.
Credentials, Skills and Abilities:
1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to:
• First Aid
• CPR
2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control, and professional composure, at all times.
3. Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
4. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years)
5. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and
socio-economic characteristics.
b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
c. Work in a fast-paced environment.
d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
f. Travel as needed.
g. Manage time effectively and efficiently.
