Job Title: Transmission & Distribution District Manager
About the Role
The Transmission & Distribution District Manager oversees operations within a specific district, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities include managing multiple project teams, collaborating with clients, and driving continuous improvement in operational processes. The District Manager is also responsible for the overall health and performance of the district.
Essential Functions
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of all projects, ensuring compliance with the company's project management methodology.
Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including project managers, supervisors, and field staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Project Oversight: Ensure projects are executed according to contract specifications, timelines, and budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Client Relations: Act as the primary contact for clients within the district, maintaining strong relationships and addressing any concerns promptly.
Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring all operations comply with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
Financial Management: Oversee the district budget, including cost control, resource allocation, and financial reporting, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for the district, aligning with company goals and objectives, and identify growth opportunities and market trends.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on district performance, including financial, operational, and safety metrics.
Work Location: Perform essential daily functions at the company-designated office or field location.
Attendance: Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned and comply with the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 10 years combined experience as an Estimator and Project Manager in the electrical construction industry, specifically in transmission and distribution operations.
Operations Experience: Experience with operations, including P&L responsibility.
Financial Acumen: Experience with budget management.
Industry Experience: Experience in the utilities and/or electrical construction industry.
Account Management: Experience with account management and development, building and maintaining a client base for future projects.
Union Leadership: Experience working with union leadership.
Education: BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering; a combination of relevant education/training and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Direct Placement Roles: Compensation: $145 to $210k per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
