Role Description:
We are seeking a talented Architect with expertise in restoration and landmark preservation to join our Restoration Department. This role involves working on high-profile restoration projects, including historic facade preservation and window replacements. The ideal candidate will contribute to all project phases, from design through construction, ensuring historical integrity while integrating modern functionality.
Responsibilities: • Develop construction drawings and specifications for restoration and landmark preservation projects. • Conduct field observations and prepare daily reports on new construction and restoration sites. • Manage project timelines and budgets while maintaining quality and historical accuracy. • Coordinate submittals, collaborate with project teams, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. • Research and analyze historic buildings to guide preservation and restoration strategies. • Oversee construction phases to ensure design intent and preservation compliance.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field. • Strong architectural knowledge and expertise, particularly in restoration and preservation. • Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). • Experience in tall and super-tall buildings, complex geometries, masonry restoration, and window replacement is a plus. • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Effective communication and collaboration skills with project teams and stakeholders. • Passion for preserving architectural history and cultural landmarks.
