Position Overview:
The CEO serves as the chief executive of Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley and, in partnership with the Board of Directors, is responsible for the overall success of Habitat RFV. Together, the Board and CEO ensure Habitat RFV's commitment to the community to be responsive to regional housing needs, the accomplishment of Habitat RFV's mission and vision, and advancing our Strategic Plan. The CEO facilitates the programs and services of HFH RFV as approved by the Board in our Strategic Plan and in compliance with Habitat for Humanity International policies and procedures, government regulations, applicable laws, and accepted business policies, practices, and ethical standards.

Major Responsibilities:
The CEO works under the direction of the Board of Directors with broad latitude for independent action within the framework of the Articles of Incorporation, the Bylaws, and the general policies and philosophy of Habitat for Humanity RFV. The Board delegates responsibility and authority for management and day-to-day operations to the CEO, who is supported by the Administrative Team, including the CFO, COO, Construction Management, and Director of ReStore Operations in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board consistent with the Strategic Plan. Additionally, the CEO communicates effectively with the Board and provides timely and accurate information for the Board to make informed decisions and foster Board engagement. The CEO Demonstrates the ability to provide and articulate a compelling vision to inspire and engage employees, volunteers, stakeholders, and the community in relation to the fulfillment of HFH RFV's mission and strategies. Meets or exceeds the organization's annual financial goals and minimizes risk to the organization. The CEO acts at all times with integrity and demonstrates leadership.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (MBA strongly preferred)
Minimum of 5 years in a strategic leadership role (7+ years preferred) that encompassed significant people and budget responsibilities
Prior experience in a similar non-profit organization of the same or greater size in an executive position or board role.
Will further develop and expand community partnerships and enhance local alliances.
Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the State and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance HFH RFV's mission.
Experience in fundraising and development programs and proficient in finance
Demonstrates high energy with a passion for servant leadership
Highly collaborative, positive culture and capacity builder
Knowledge of affordable housing, challenges and opportunities, nonprofit housing environment, knowledge and experience in residential real estate development and construction, specifically related to affordable housing.
Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, lead, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to speak in public, effectively sharing the mission and vision in the community. Includes presentations, public relations, and advocacy.
Effective and comfortable communication skills within and among diverse populations.
Compensation and Benefits:
Habitat RFV provides excellent medical benefits, optional dental and vision, generous vacation and sick leave, and an IRA retirement program.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000, based on prior experience
