We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Buyer with a strong background in purchasing negotiations, ERP/MRP systems, and a proven track record of success in supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of professional supply chain experience and expertise in managing the procurement process from sourcing to negotiation and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and execute purchasing negotiations with vendors to secure optimal terms and pricing for materials and services.
Utilize JD Edwards or similar ERP/MRP systems for procurement activities, ensuring accuracy and timely transactions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure supply chain efficiency and continuity.
Analyze market trends and conduct supplier evaluations to make informed purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, production, and finance, to support purchasing needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Monitor and track inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering to avoid production delays.
Manage purchase orders, supplier communications, and resolve any issues related to product delivery or quality.
Lead efforts to optimize purchasing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in supply chain and procurement roles.
Proven track record of successful negotiations and vendor management.
Proficiency in JD Edwards or similar ERP/MRP software systems.
Strong understanding of supply chain management, purchasing strategies, and procurement best practices.
