Your Role • Your project assignments are aligned to the project goals and timelines the Crossover Project Management Office (PMO) team assigns. The role is based within the PMO team in our Livonia, Michigan office. • You will engage directly with clients to quickly assess critical issues and drive performance wherever necessary. What You'll Do
As an Operations Specialist, your analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills will be actively engaged from the outset. You will collaborate closely with industry experts to tackle a diverse range of responsibilities. While each day presents unique challenges, you can anticipate accomplishing a variety of tasks, including: • Collaborate with the manufacturing leadership team to develop and implement implement strategies to streamline manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency. • Use mathematical representations of processes to manage production, determine production cost model calculations to optimize facilities, production, and service locations while reducing inefficiencies. Evaluate existing designs to identify potential manufacturing shortcomings. • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities within the manufacturing value streams by employing Lean Manufacturing tools. • Develop and implement standardized work procedures to ensure consistency and repeatability in manufacturing operations. • Utilize data analysis tools to extract actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and integration of operational excellence goals with overall business objectives. • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings, achievements, and areas for continued improvement. • Facilitate problem-solving sessions to promote continuous improvement across the manufacturing team.
Must-Haves • Must be a citizen of the United States. • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. • Bachelor's degree from a recognized educational institution. • Ability to travel up to 80% within North America. • Proficiency with MS Office. • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to determine how operations, environments, and systems interact. • Adaptability and agility in navigating uncertain and ambiguous environments. • A knack for deconstructing and resolving issues through quantitative and qualitative reasoning and analysis. • Ability to perform in high-pressure environments.
Nice to-Haves • B.S or M.S in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Mechanical Engineering. • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. • Advanced knowledge of systems, tools, and solutions for productivity. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. • Strong mechanical aptitude. • Experience with AutoCAD and advanced Excel, including VBA and Power BI. • Familiarity with Quality Systems. • Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment (1-2 years), providing hands-on knowledge of industry practices and challenges.
